Jessie Elizabeth Jane Vaughn

Jessie Elizabeth Jane Vaughn, age 85, of Manchester went to be with her heavenly Father Monday, April 8, 2024.  She was born July 24, 1938 in Beechgrove, TN to the late Hoyt Herbert and Zadie Marie (Jacobs) Brandon.  In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, Billy E. Vaughn; brother, Monroe Brandon; and sisters Evelyn Lawson and Nina McCullough.  Jessie attended Friendship Baptist Church in Blanton’s Chapel and enjoyed taking care of her family by cutting their hair.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Missy Vaughn; daughter and son-in-law, Angelia and Doug Garrard; grandchildren, Brandon and Hannah Vaughn, Morgan Vaughn, Justin and Lauren Garrard, and Rachel and Landon Spangler; great-grandchildren, Hudson Garrard, Mallory Garrard, and Dorian Spangler; and brothers, Larry and Crystal Brandon, and Bill and Shirley Brandon.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Monday, April 15th at First Presbyterian Church, Manchester, TN. Funeral service will be held in the church at 3 p.m. with Reverend C.J. Thompson officiating.  Interment will follow at Old Reddins Chapel Cemetery.
